Must-see sites on Wukang Road

Wukang Mansion: The first apartment building with a veranda in Shanghai, the eight-story structure looks like a giant ship and sits at the junction of Wukang Road and Huaihai Middle Road. It was selected as part of the city's second batch of outstanding historical buildings in 1994.
The Cottage Cafe and Bar: Located on the ground floor of Wukang Mansion, the cafe serves brunch and afternoon tea, in addition to coffee and other beverages. It also features a special area where old items bought by the owner are displayed.
Ferguson Lane: Located at 376 Wukang Road, the lane is also known as Wukangting or "small Europe". The Spanish- and French-style historical buildings in the courtyard housed diplomats during the Republic of China period, the office of the former Shanghai Instrument Bureau and a hotel where overseas celebrities stayed. The lane is now a fashionable courtyard with award-winning restaurants, shops selling wine, clothing and flowers, and galleries.
Former residence of Ba Jin: Situated at 113 Wukang Road, this three-story mansion was built in 1923. The writer Ba Jin moved to the building in 1955, living there until his death in 2005. The 640-square-meter residence opened to the public in 2016. The first floor houses a living and dining room, and the second floor a study and bedroom.
Romeo's Balcony: Located at 210 Wukang Road, this mansion with a popular balcony was built in 1923. The main building has three floors and features the characteristics of a typical Spanish garden house. A good place for couples to take photos.
FNJI Furniture Store: This independent store at 370 Wukang Road was renovated from a three-story mansion built in 1941. The design team retained the building's traditional structure, giving it an artistic tone. Founded by domestic designer Gai Guqi in 2010, the FNJI brand launched the store after three years of preparation. It opened to the public in 2019, but only by reservation.
Rac Bar: This French restaurant, located in a yard tucked away at the junction of Wukang Road and Anfu Road, boasts an eye-catching retro green door frame. It also has an open dining environment and offers tastes of France, including coffee, bread, pastries, pancakes and organic wine.
YellowKorner: Located at 376 Wukang Road, this photo gallery was launched by French artists Alexandrede Metz and Paul-Antonie Briat. The studio displays photography by different artists, with the works being changed regularly.
