Representatives of international industrial institutions and foreign firms will visit cotton fields and mills in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region soon, said Gao Feng, spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce, at a news briefing on Thursday.

"I believe there will be more and more enterprises and institutions that respect the truth and follow the law of the market," he said.

A certain country's sanctions on Chinese entities for so-called involvement in forced labor in Xinjiang seriously damages global economic and trade order, Gao said, adding that the "forced labor" claim in Xinjiang is completely contrary to the facts.

China urges a certain country to correct its unjustifiable crackdown on Chinese entities, and will continue to provide active support to foreign enterprises to conduct trade and investment in Xinjiang, the spokesman added.
