GRAND OPENINGS

Wanda Vista Guilin opened at an international holiday resort in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region in late June. Situated between downtown Guilin and Yangshuo county, the new hotel is just 40 kilometers away from the city's airport. It has integrated local customs and the landscape, as well as Dong ethnic culture, into its design.

A Four Points by Sheraton hotel opened its doors at the Qiandao Lake holiday resort in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province in June. It is the brand's debut in the area. Marriott International operates 15 hotels in Hangzhou, covering its 10 brands. The addition enables an expansion in the hospitality group's brand portfolio in the city and proves its faith in a recovery in tourism, said an executive of the company.

The Pullman Jiaxing Pinghu Excellence Hotel has been revealed as a new landmark in the Pinghu Lake area of Jiaxing, Zhejiang province. It is located in a dynamic business and leisure center near the country's business hub, Shanghai. It's also close to the tourist destinations of Hangzhou and Suzhou, thus providing an effective meeting place or convenient getaway.

NEW LANDMARK

Accor and Xiamen Airlines have signed a deal to bring the first Fairmont hotel to Fujian province in East China. The 31-floor Fairmont Xiamen will be located in the coastal city's Cross Straits Financial Center. Just a 10-minute drive from the International Conference and Exhibition Center, which serves as the venue of the annual Straits Forum, within 15 minutes from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport and 30 minutes from Xiamen North Railway Station, the location will make it an ideal choice for both business and leisure guests.

MUSIC TOUR

W hotels in Shanghai, Changsha in Hunan province, and Xiamen in Fujian province will embrace a music tour called WBLACKBOX this summer. It aims to spark enthusiasm in live music in those cities. The tour is scheduled to start at W Shanghai-The Bund on July 16 and move to newly opened W hotels in the other two cities later this year.
