Watch it again: A tasty tour of Ningxia – celebrating goji berry harvest
Goji berries, one of the best-known specialties in Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region, are in the harvest season.
China Daily reporter Song Nan visits a plantation, where the red little fruit is ripe for picking.
The plantation, operated by the local company Xizan in Zhongning county, is just part of an industry that has used the precious berry to create jobs and lift the local economy.
The reporter's trip also includes a tour to an assembly line where the fruit can be made into many products.
