The first set of double-decker bullet trains for export rolled off the production line in Zhuzhou, Hunan province, on Monday.

Independently developed by CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co, the trains meet the European Union's technical specifications for interoperability. The trains, which can run at a top speed of 200 kilometers per hour, will be exported to Austria.

A total of 571 bench-style and other types of seats have been installed in six carriages, for a passenger capacity (counting standing room) of around 1,280, which can help spread out the load on busy European rail routes, the company said.
