Social stability
The number of criminal cases filed dropped last year for the fifth consecutive year. The number of eight major types of criminal cases and the number of investigated public security cases have declined for six consecutive years.
A recent survey conducted by the National Bureau of Statistics showed that 98.4 percent of Chinese felt safe last year. People's satisfaction with social stability reached 83.6 percent, ranking first among 15 livelihood indexes.
Network information security
Public security organs nationwide resolved 405,000 cybercrime cases and captured 590,000 suspects from 2014 to 2020.
Economic security
Police nationwide resolved 681,000 economic crime cases and recovered more than 400 billion yuan ($61.3 billion) in economic losses from 2014 to 2020.
Environmental protection
From 2014 to 2020, police nationwide solved 199,000 cases related to damaging the environment and 32,000 cases involving wildlife.
Public security organs cracked 23,000 cases of damaging the environment and resources last year that involved 16.6 billion yuan, and arrested more than 40,000 suspects.
Food security
Police across the country detected and resolved about 1,000 cases of producing and selling counterfeit and substandard agricultural supplies last year, involving 1.76 billion yuan, and captured more than 1,400 suspects.
