Logistics activity expands in March
Logistics activity rebounded in March as China's economic recovery started gaining momentum, according to data from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. The logistics performance index, which tracks business volumes, new orders, employment, inventory turnover and equipment utility rates in the sector, came in at 52.7 percent last month, up 3.8 percentage points from February.
Foreign investment up 81% to $520.6b
China attracted $520.6 billion of foreign investment last year, up by 81 percent from 2019, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange said in a report. Amid China's steady economic recovery and improved business climate, foreign direct investment in the Chinese mainland grew by 14 percent in 2020, the report said.
