Seven dead, 150 missing after India glacier breaks
At least seven people were killed in flooding after a portion of a glacier broke off in India's northern hilly state of Uttarakhand on Sunday, media quoted the state's Chief Secretary Om Prakash as saying. Up to 150 people were missing, including workers at the Rishiganga power project in the state and local residents, according to Reuters. By late Sunday, around 20 workers were stuck inside a tunnel at the site. India's navy and army have been put on alert for rescue work in the affected areas. The disaster reportedly struck about 10 am on Sunday.

Key parties back Draghi to form new government
Italian Premier-designate Mario Draghi on Saturday secured preliminary support from two key parties to form a new government that will decide how to spend more than 200 billion euros ($240 billion) in European Union funds to help relaunch Italy's pandemic-ravaged economy. The Five-Star Movement and the League both signaled support for a Draghi-led government, saying they were ready to put aside bitter rivalries for the good of the country and increasing the potential for a broad-based government of national unity.
MYANMAR
Blocks widen to include Twitter and Instagram
Myanmar on Saturday blocked access to the social media platforms Twitter and Instagram, according to a statement by Telenor, one of the four operators in Myanmar. The move came in addition to a block of Facebook imposed on Thursday. The statement said all mobile operators, international gateways and internet service providers in the country received a directive from Myanmar's Ministry of Transport and Communications to suspend Twitter and Instagram until further notice. After a daylong blackout, all telecom operators resumed internet services on Sunday afternoon.
