In addition to patrolling the Zhaotong Road residential neighborhood in Shanghai, which was classified as a medium-risk area following the emergence of COVID-19 cases, police officers have gone the extra mile to ensure the well-being of residents that were not able to serve their quarantine in designated hotels – pets.

Dressed in protective attire, the police officers would visit several homes to feed the pets of residents, which include cats, dogs and even pigeons.

About 1,800 residents of the neighborhood are currently in quarantine.
