In this year's Sugar-Fire Art and Culture Festival, architect Guo Liaohui created the theme installation work "Fire Pit into the Wood (Ru Mu Huo Tang)", reflecting the long history of the culture of fire pit throughout the southwest minority villages. On the New Year's Eve, the work was ignited to bid farewell to 2020 and pray for the coming New Year. Photographer Feng Jianguo, architect Guo Liaohui, new-media artist Liu Jiayu and folk musician Chen Fei also brought their works to the stage.

Dai Jinhua, professor of Chinese literature and culture at Peking University, said after visiting the Yangshuo Sugar House that with the landscape and architecture, various art and cultural activities can enrich local people's lives and pass on history and love from generation to generation.
