Watch it again: Nine time zones, 10 New Year's celebrations

2020 has been an eventful year, to say the least. If you knew then what you know now, would you do anything differently? Thanks to time differences, we're giving you nine chances to start the new year –China Daily reporters and guests will come to you from 10 different cities in 9 time zones!

China Daily website has joined hands with Tencent WeSee to present an online New Year celebration livestream just for you. The 14-hour-long digital festival, starting at 22:40 pm Beijing time on Dec 31 will mark different celebrations by showcasing the festivities in various cities, including Okinawa, Beijing, Jakarta, Dubai, Nairobi, Moscow, Jerusalem, Brussels, London and New York.

Special guests, including medical expert, Olympic medalist and film director will also make appearances to send their best wishes for the new year.

It's always darkest just before the dawn, and we hope the same is true for 2021 after the 2020 we've had.

Walk into that new dawn with us starting at 22:40 pm on Dec 31.
