NEW OPENING
Sofitel Haikou opened in the capital city of Hainan province on Wednesday. It is the 23rd Sofitel hotel to open in the brand's network across China. The new hotel is nestled in the city's central business district with convenient transport links nearby and direct access to the Form Square shopping mall and high-end office buildings. Tourist and leisure attractions nearby include Evergreen Park, the historic Qilou Old Street, Hainan Museum and Hainan Convention and Exhibition Center.
FESTIVE ATMOSPHERE
Wanda Reign Wuhan switched on its Christmas lights in late November. During the event, students from a local international school and kindergarten staged festive performances. Santa Claus, accompanied by several elves, arrived on a Christmas train to hand out gifts.
In cooperation with the Shanghai Overseas Chinese Foundation, the Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao is hosting the 2020 Christmas Bazaar over the weekend. During the event there will be live performances, a Santa Claus parade and handicraft classes. The SOCF will launch the "potato for lunch" charity program on-site to raise funds for school lunches for children in rural areas.
CULINARY DELIGHTS
During a gourmet festival in January 2021, a guest chef from the Pullman Nanjing in Jiangsu province will serve up signature Nanjing dishes at Chao Pin restaurant in the Pullman Fuzhou Tahoe in Fujian province. The delicacies will include stewed pork balls, Nanjing salted duck and Mandarin fish. Nanjing cuisine is well-known for its exquisite cutting and carving techniques, preserving clean and original flavors.
