Discipline inspection session scheduled
The Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China will be held from Jan 22 to 24, a key Party meeting decided on Friday.
Members of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee urged efforts to deepen reforms of the discipline inspection system, promote the rule of law and build a team of officials with high quality to provide a strong guarantee for embarking on a new voyage in the modernization of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics, a statement released after the meeting said.
The CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, the National Supervisory Commission and their local organs have strengthened supervisory duties, acted against the practice of formalities for formalities' sake and bureaucratism, and conducted political inspections and rectifications, the statement said.
It said the organs have played an important role in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and fighting COVID-19.
Meeting participants said the country's discipline inspection work must remain consistent in its full and strict governance over the Party and push forward the effective implementation of the Party Central Committee's decisions.
The meeting also required the advancement of a coordinated system under which officials don't dare to, are unable to and have no desire to commit acts of corruption.
