Five killed, two injured in freeway collision
Five people were killed and two injured in a traffic accident on Sunday morning in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, local traffic police said. A van and a truck collided on a freeway in Tengxian county, Wuzhou. Five people were killed and two were injured in the van. The two were sent to hospital, and their injuries were considered not life-threatening. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Man sought in deaths of six in Yuanyang
Police are looking for a male suspect surnamed Sun in connection with the deaths of six people in Yuanyang county, Henan province, county police said on Sunday evening. Six members of a family-three adults and three children-were found dead on Sunday morning in Jintang town, Beijing News reported. The report said Sun allegedly fled the scene in a white sedan. The case is under investigation, police said.

752 ancient manuscripts, books added to catalog
A total of 752 valuable ancient manuscripts and books have been added to the catalog for State protection, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism said. The list contains Buddhist scriptures, literary collections and masterpieces written in ethnic minority languages, it said. China has added a total of 13,026 ancient manuscripts to the catalog for State protection since the program was initiated in 2007.
