Women runners race half marathon in Chongqing

Zhang Yan, Lan Xia and Ye Rui won the top three spots of the half marathon race. The winner, Zhang Yan, born in Chongqing, is now a university freshman majoring in Chinese literature.
This year marked the sixth event of the Chongqing Women's Half Marathon. In April, the Chongqing Women's Half Marathon was awarded the Road Race Bronze Label by IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations), and became China's first and only women's marathon certified by IAAF, as well as the world's third women's marathon certified by IAAF, following Japan's Nagoya Women's Marathon and Osaka Women's Marathon.
