Regulator clears Ant public offering
China's securities regulator said on Wednesday it has approved the initial public offering registration of Ant Group, the parent company of the country's leading mobile-payment business Alipay, on the science and technology innovation board. The company will be listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange's sci-tech innovation board, commonly known as the STAR Market, according to the China Securities Regulatory Commission.
Deals worth $5.4b signed at grain expo
Purchase agreements worth 36.17 billion yuan ($5.44 billion) were signed for various grain products on Wednesday at an industry expo in East China's Fujian province. The third China Grain Trade Conference was held online and offline in Fuzhou, and attracted more than 2,600 enterprises. The three-day event saw 10.3 million metric tons of various cereals and oils being traded, with transactions totaling 29.24 billion yuan.
