Exports, imports to see robust uptrend
Exports and imports will maintain a robust trend in China during the next few months, said a study released by British think tank Oxford Economics on Tuesday. The think tank said exports maintained solid growth in September as product shipments rose due to COVID-related demand.
Benchmark coal price rises to $82.9 a ton
The benchmark power coal price recorded gains in China during the past two weeks. The Bohai-Rim Steam-Coal Price Index, a gauge of coal prices in North China's major ports, stood at 559 yuan ($82.9) per metric ton on Wednesday, an increase of 8 yuan over the previous two weeks, according to Qinhuangdao Ocean Shipping Coal Trading Market Co Ltd. The Bohai-Rim Steam-Coal Price Index is a leading indicator of coal prices in China.
