LONDON - James Rodriguez scored twice and added an assist as Everton beat Brighton 4-2 in Goodison Park to keep their 100 percent record at the top of the Premier League on Saturday.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin's 16th minute header put Everton ahead only for Jordan Pickford's error to gift Neal Maupay a 41st minute equalizer.

James' free kick was headed home by Yerry Mina on the stroke of halftime to put Everton back in front, before James rounded off an excellent individual display with two second-half goals.

Leeds United and Manchester City produced a game that lived up to expectations in terms of entertainment with the teams taking one point each after a 1-1 draw.

Raheem Sterling opened the scoring for the visitors in the 17th minute, but Rodrigo Moreno's first goal for Leeds in the 59th minute, following an error from City keeper Ederson Santana saw Marcelo Bielsa's side take a well-deserved point.

Ruben Dias made his debut for Manchester City, but Pep Guardiola's team still needs to improve in defense to have any chance of battling for the title.

Ben Chilwell's Chelsea debut could hardly have gone better as he scored the first goal of the game on 50 minutes before giving an assist for Kurt Zouma to score Chelsea's second of their 4-0 win at home to Crystal Palace 16 minutes later.

Jorginho scored two penalties in the 78th and 82nd minutes to assure a comfortable win in the best performance by Frank Lampard's side this season.

Saturday ended with Newcastle United winning 3-1 at home to Burnley thanks to an excellent display from winger Allan Saint-Maximin. The Frenchman scored his side's first goal and then set up Callum Wilson for Newcastle's second of the game just four minutes after Ashley Westwood's 61st minute equalizer for the visitors.

Although Saint-Maximin limped off with 18 minutes to go Wilson then scored a penalty to make it 3-1 and ensure Burnley are still looking for their first point of the season.
