To protect the environment, the local government has encouraged social capital to take part in restoration work. Shanxi Jinfeng Heat Supply has taken on Yuquan Mountain as its assignment.

The company used to run a heat supply business but now focuses on greening and environmental projects. Roughly half of its 1,300 or so employees are veterans.

Since 2009, they have planted 5.5 million trees, covering an area of 13 square kilometers.
