Shanghai Pudong Football Stadium, venue for 2023 AFC Asian Cup, to complete construction

SHANGHAI -- Shanghai Pudong Football Stadium will be put into service on Tuesday, constructor Shanghai Juss Sports Group announced on Monday.

As one of the venues for 2023 AFC Asian Cup, Shanghai Pudong Football Stadium is a professional football stadium designed to meet the requirements of FIFA's A-level competitions.

Covering a construction area of 139,304 square meters, the stadium has a unique and ground-breaking seating bowl design that maximizes the view to the football pitch from all the 33,765 seats, while creating an intimate atmosphere for the spectators.

Apart from the capacity of hosting world class football events, the stadium is also equipped with professional E-sports facilities.

The stadium will make its debut to hold the final of the 10th season of League of Legends (LPL) World Championship, known as S10, on October 31.
