SF Express net profit up 21% in first half
Delivery giant SF Express said on Wednesday that its revenue rose by 42 percent on a yearly basis during the first six months of this year to 71 billion yuan ($10.28 billion), as the novel coronavirus epidemic boosted demand for delivery services. The company said net profit rose by 21 percent on a yearly basis to 3.76 billion yuan. Express deliveries-the company's core business-stood at 3.66 billion parcels, up 81.3 percent on a yearly basis, while the average industry growth rate was about 22 percent.
Anta Sports says Fila cushioned virus effect
Anta Sports Products Ltd, a leading sportswear company based in Xiamen of Fujian province, said on Wednesday that buoyant demand for its fashion sports brand Fila helped cushion the novel coronavirus epidemic's impact on the company's revenue during the first six months of this year. The group said revenue in the first half of the year fell by 1 percent on a yearly basis to 14.67 billion yuan ($2.13 billion). The revenue of its main brand Anta declined by 10.7 percent to 6.78 billion yuan while Fila maintained its revenue growth, increasing 9.4 percent to 7.15 billion yuan.
Tesla Model Y cars available for preorders
Tesla China said it has started taking bookings for its made-in-China Model Y and production of the preordered cars will start from next year. Two models of Model Y are currently available for preorder, with starting prices of 488,000 yuan ($70,600) and 535,000 yuan respectively, said the company, adding that the current booking price is only an estimate and the actual price will be subject to final announcements.
