President congratulates Polish leader

President Xi Jinping congratulated Andrzej Duda on Thursday on his reelection as Polish president, and vowed to work with him to take bilateral ties to a new stage.
In a congratulatory message to Duda, Xi said that thanks to the joint efforts of both countries, China and Poland established a comprehensive strategic partnership with fruitful cooperation and exchanges in various fields.
In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, the two peoples have offered each other support and assistance, demonstrating their friendship, Xi said, adding that he values the traditional friendship between China and Poland and considers the bilateral relationship as greatly important.
Xi said he stands ready to work with Duda to strengthen bilateral ties, and leverage opportunities from the joint building of the Belt and Road as well as the cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries to benefit the two countries and the two peoples.
