Beijing smash Fujian for 10th straight victory in CBA
QINGDAO, China - The Beijing Ducks crushed the Fujian Sturgeons 115-87 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Wednesday, extending its winning streak to 10 games.
Launching a 15-2 run after the tip-off, Beijing got a 19-7 lead midway through the first quarter and was 22 points ahead at the end of the first quarter.
The Ducks kept the lead in the following quarter as Jeremy Lin and Zhai Xiaochuan each got 10 points for Beijing in the first half.
Beijing extended the advantage to as many as 30 points in the third quarter, making the game beyond the opponents' reach.
Duan Jiangpeng got a game-high 21 points for Beijing, Chang Lin finished with 20 points and nine rebounds, and Zhai Xiaochuan added 12 points.
Sun Chunpeng had a team-high 20 points for Fujian, Xu Mingzhi collected 17 points, He Zhongda notched 14 points and eight rebounds, and Tang Jie contributed 13 points.
