GENEVA - FIFA is set to select the host of the 2023 Women's World Cup on June 25, although its congress has been postponed to September.

The winning bid was due to be announced at the FIFA Congress in Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, originally scheduled for June 5, but the meeting was moved online and postponed until September 18 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Instead, the FIFA Council will announce the host for the tournament during its online meeting next month.

Australia and New Zealand have submitted a joint bid, while Brazil, Colombia and Japan are also in the race, making it the most competitive bidding race in the history of the tournament.

France hosted the last edition of the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2019, and the 2023 tournament is set to feature 32 teams for the first time.
