Harbin welcomes new year with army of snowmen

A total of 2,020 stylized snowmen have been completed along the bank of the Songhua River in Harbin, capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, to greet the new year and the coming Spring Festival.

Among them, three giant snowmen have attracted many residents and tourists to visit and take photos.

More than 30 sculptors spent eight days finishing the three snowmen, including a 20.2-meter-tall snowman named Snow Elfin, two 13-meter-tall snowmen named Binbin and Xuewa, the latter of which means "Snow Baby".
