China denounces HK tweet by Rockets exec

Daryl Morey, general manager of the National Basketball Association (NBA) club Houston Rockets, caused controversy on Oct 5 with his stance on Hong Kong. The Chinese Basketball Association condemned his actions and announced it would terminate communication and cooperation with the club. The CCTV Sports Channel of the China Media Group issued a statement deciding to immediately suspend current broadcast arrangements of the NBA preseason (China Games) and immediately investigate all cooperation and exchanges involving the NBA.
