Low-budget carrier 9Air launches direct flight between Guangzhou-Osaka

A direct flight between Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, and Osaka, Japan, began operating on Sunday, with the passenger load factor reaching 90 percent, according to the carrier 9Air.

As per carrier's sources, the price for a single trip is as low as 259 yuan ($36.9) pre-tax on the Guangzhou-based low-budget airline.

The flight between the two cities will depart at 15:50 pm in Guangzhou and return at 22:00 pm from Osaka every day.

Although the route has entered low season since the end of October, the debut flight still had 169 passengers onboard, according to the company.

The carrier, founded in 2014, has already opened eight international routes since October last year, covering major tourism and business destinations in the southeastern and northeastern Asia.
