Zielinski may leave Napoli to join Everton
WARSAW - SSC Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski would like to play in the English Premier League and may join Everton, reported Polsat Sport TV on Sunday.
The Pole had a good relationship with coach Carlo Ancelotti, but the Italian was sacked by the Napoli's president Aurelio de Laurentiis due to the bad results of the team. On Saturday Everton confirmed that Ancelotti will be the new manager of The Toffees.
As it turned out, Zielinski also may be hired by the club from Goodison Park. "We talked to each other when Napoli played Champions League game in Liverpool. In the past, Zielinski was linked to Liverpool FC as Juergen Klopp really appreciates him. They even held talks about the transfer. Now there is a chance he will play in Liverpool, but for Everton," claimed Polsat Sport journalist Marcin Feddek.
"Piotr told me that in his opinion Premier League is the best league in the world and he would love to go there. I think it would be an opportunity for him to grow as a footballer. In England you have to fight in every second of the match," said Feddek.
This season, Zielinski has played 16 games, in which he has scored one goal.
