MLS team Columbus Crew sign Argentine midfielder Zelarayan from Tigres

WASHINGTON - Major League Soccer (MLS) team Columbus Crew have signed Argentinian attacking midfielder Lucas Zelarayan from Mexican club Tigres for a club-record transfer fee of more than $7 million, local media reported on Thursday.
Zelarayan, who signed a three-year contract with the MLS team, is in the prime of his career. In 139 career appearances with Tigres, Zelarayan scored 23 goals with 14 assists over four-plus years with the club.
Prior to joining Tigres, Zelarayan made 77 appearances across all competitions for Argentinian top division side Club Atletico Belgrano, scoring 10 goals with six assists.
