JERUSALEM - Israel's Hapoel Holon lost at home 59-58 to Belgium's Filou Oostende in the ninth round of the FIBA Basketball Champions League on Tuesday.

Following their win, Oostende now has four wins in the 8-team Group A, while Holon remain with three wins in nine games.

Ryan Thompson led Holon to a 16-11 lead in the seventh minute, but MiKyle McIntosh's points put the Belgian team in the lead at the end of the first quarter (21-19).

A strong opening to the second quarter gave Oostende a 29-20 lead, but Holon's 9-2 run cut the gap to just two at half-time (29-31).

The Belgian side kept their slender lead in the third quarter, which ended at 42-39, but two consecutive three-pointers by Marcus Foster put Holon 56-49 in front with three and a half minutes to go.

McIntosh minimized the Holon gap (57-58) and gave Oostende the lead from the line with 16 seconds left.

Foster missed just before the buzzer, allowing the Belgians to celebrate their narrow victory.

McIntosh scored a team-high 15 points, while his teammate Shevon Thompson added 11 points.

Ryan Thompson led Holon with 13 points, with Foster adding 11.

Oostende's next game in Belgium is against Italian side Dinamo Sassari on January 7, while Holon will host Poland's Second Pierniki Torun the following day.
