CAF president Ahmad assures Ghana FA boss of support
ACCRA - The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Ahmad Ahmad has assured new Ghana FA boss Kurt Okraku of his total support to help him realize his vision for Ghanaian football.
Okraku, who is in Egypt to support Ghana's Black Meteors at the ongoing U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), took the opportunity to call on Ahmad at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, according to the Ghanaian FA.
At the meeting, Ahmad was said to have expressed his personal support, as well as that of his outfit, to the Ghanaian FA chief towards achieving his vision of igniting passion and creating wealth for all in Ghana football.
The CAF leader also commended the Ghanaian FA for a successful poll leading to Okraku's election.
He noted that the continent's football governing body will offer the Ghanaian FA the required support for the continuous development of football in the West African nation.
Okraku, who will lead the new Ghanaian FA for the next four years, expressed his sincere gratitude to the CAF president for his assurance of support.
