Chinese teenager Yan loses to Selby in snooker Champion of Champions

Chinese snooker player Yan Bingtao lost to Mark Selby 4-0 in the invitation event Champion of Champions in Coventry on Tuesday.
Yan, 19, was invited to Coventry after winning his first ranking title in Riga Masters in July. But the teenager was unable to challenge three-time world champion Selby, losing in straight sets.
Later, Selby was defeated by Mark Allen 6-2, failing to reach the semifinals.
The tournament featuring winners from the previous 12 months, started on Monday with a quartet of four-man groups played over four days. Neil Robertson became the first to make the semifinals after beating Martin Gould and Shaun Murphy consecutively on Monday.
