13 youngsters killed, 4 injured in speedy pickup truck accident in Thailand's Bangkok

BANGKOK -- A total of 13 youngsters were killed and four others injured when a pickup truck overturned on a road in Bangkok's outlying area on Sunday night, police said.

The 13 deceased and four injured youngsters were from Sisaket Technical College. The truck they were riding sharply overturned and hit a roadside power pole on King Keo road in Bang Phli district of Samut Prakarn province, according to deputy National Police Spokesman Pol. Col. Krissana Pattanacharoen.

The road accident which occurred at about 00:30 am local time Sunday instantly killed 12 of the passengers and the other one was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, Krissana said.
