A photography exhibition for people with visual disabilities made its debut on Tuesday in Shanghai as part of celebrations for the city's liberation and the 70th anniversary of the founding of The People's Republic of China.

The 2019 Shanghai Non-visual Photography exhibition showcases 70 photographs, 20 of which were taken by people with visual disabilities. All the photos come with tactile features that allow people with visual disabilities to "see" the photos through touch.

The exhibition, which is supported by the Shanghai Disabled People's Federation and co-hosted by the Shanghai Foundation for Disabled Persons and Xinmin Evening News, was first launched at the lobby of Shanghai United Media Group.

It will tour to other parts of the city to reach more audience, according to the organizers.
