A trade agreement itself is impossible to be absolutely equal in all areas, but the agreement must be balanced both ways and mutually beneficial, said the Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang on Tuesday.
It is unrealistic to require the two economies to be absolutely and equally open in trade. Moreover, economic globalization itself is a process in which countries have complementary advantages and exchanges and it is unscientific and unprofessional to simply think that the United States is "losing" in Sino-US trade relations, Lu added.
