Language used in handling traffic accidents

The traffic administrative departments of the public security organ in China use the language commonly used in the People's Republic of China in handling road traffic accidents.

Those unfamiliar with the Chinese language shall be provided with an interpreter.

The parties concerned who are familiar with the Chinese language and don’t need an interpreter shall submit a written statement.

Approved by the traffic administrative departments of the public security organ, the foreign party can hire an interpreter on his own and bear the interpretation cost.
