The Netherlands, South Korea win golds in 3,000m in short track worlds


SOFIA - The Netherlands and South Korea won the titles in the women's and men's 3,000-meter super finals of the Short Track Speed Skating World Championships here on Sunday.
In the women's 3,000m, Suzanne Schulting won her second gold in Sofia in five minutes and 26.880 seconds. Choi Min-jeong and Kim Ji-yoo from South Korea placed second and third with 5:26.980 and 5:27.039 respectively.
Lim Hyo-jun won his third title here at the men's 3,000m in 5:00.998, followed by Semen Elistratov of Russia in 5:01.120. Keita Watanabe of Japan took the bronze medal in 5:01.847.
Later on Sunday, the finals of women's 3000m relay and men's 5,000m relay will be held.
Earlier on Sunday, Schulting and Lim Hyo-jun of South Korea won the titles in women's and men's 1,000m.
