Two killed in US country club shooting
WASHINGTON, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Police in the US state of North Carolina are looking into a Sunday morning shooting which killed two people and wounded another.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) said the shooting took place in a country club home. When police arrived at the scene at 4 a.m. they found a man and a woman had died from gunshot wounds.
A third person with life-threatening wounds was also found at the home and had been taken to a hospital, police said.
"This is certainly an extremely rare incident in this part of the city, but regardless of the location when we receive this call for service we conduct our investigation in the same thorough manner," said an official with the CMPD.
The CMPD said on social media that while they consider the incident a homicide, they are "not looking for any suspects at this time."
