Premier congratulates new prime minister of Sao Tome and Principe

Premier Li Keqiang has congratulated Jorge Bom Jesus on assuming office as the new prime minister of Sao Tome and Principe.

In the congratulatory message, Premier Li said the relations between China and the African country have developed significantly since the countries resumed diplomatic ties, with deepened mutual political trust and expanded cooperation in various fields to benefit both peoples.

China would like to work with Sao Tome and Principe to carry out what had been agreed at the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and promote the development of their comprehensive cooperative partnership, the premier said.
