Swatch pays tribute to Mickey Mouse

Two limited Swatch watches that were specially designed by the British contemporary artist Damien Hirst were unveiled on Nov 15 at the Shanghai Swatch Art Peace Hotel to celebrate Mickey Mouse's 90th anniversary this year.

"The Swatch and Damien Hirst Art Special pays tribute to Mickey Mouse, and was inspired by Mickey's most iconic dots and colors elements," said Molly Gu, the vice-president of Swatch China.

"Art and creativity are always in the brand's DNA," she added. Both watches are limited collections.

SPOT MICKEY, which features the popular mouse on its dial and is framed with his signature colors on the bracelet, has only 1,999 pieces. And MIRROR SPOT MICKEY, which is limited to 19,999 pieces, plays with larger spots and portrays the little big star against a mirrored background on the bracelet and the dial.
