Northern European defense ministers to discuss cooperation, security challenges
Defense Ministers from the Nordic, Baltic states, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and Britain will meet in Oslo to discuss security challenges and the future development of their defense cooperation from Nov 13 to 14.
Norway holds chairmanship in the Nordic Defense Cooperation (NORDEFCO) organization for 2018, and this will be the last meeting under Norwegian leadership.
On Tuesday there will be a meeting of NORDEFCO ministers from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Afterward, there will be a meeting of defense ministers in the Nordic-Baltic format.
On Wednesday the ministers of Defense from the Northern Group will meet. The Northern Group consists of the Nordic and Baltic countries in addition to Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and the United Kingdom.
