Global youth meet held at UIBE in Beijing


The annual meeting of International Youth Dialogue 2018 was held recently at the University of International Business And Economics in Beijing.
Speaking about the event, Yang Xiaochun, the deputy director of the Foreign and Chinese Cultural Exchange Office of the Ministry of Education, said: "Young people from different countries were here to exchange ideas and thus enhance mutual understanding."
At the event, Tian Yuan, a professor from Josai International University, highlighted the importance of reading for young people and Chen Meng, a member of the Table Tennis Team of the People's Republic of China, shared her views on the place of sports in a young person's life.
Meanwhile, parallel forums were also been held to discuss issues like opening-up in the new era and education innovation.
Speaking about the meeting, Wen Jun, the deputy secretary of the Party committee of UIBE, said: "Young people represent hope. And they will be a strong force to safeguard the peaceful development of the world."
