Przewalski's horses trot ahead at Xinjiang breeding center

Przewalski's horse, a species even rarer than the giant panda, is the only wild horse in modern existence, as it bears the original genes of horses. There are currently 2,000 Przewalski's horses worldwide. A wild horse breeding center in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region saw the birth of 37 foals this year, raising the total number of Przewalski's horses at the center to 411.
