China's national museum holds exhibition to welcome year of dog

BEIJING - The National Museum of China is holding an exhibition of cultural relics to celebrate the Year of the Dog, which starts Friday.
More than 100 exhibits were displayed, including pottery, bronze, porcelain, jade, painting and folk crafts related to Chinese Spring Festival and the auspicious dog.
These cultural relics showcase Chinese Spring Festival activities, folk traditions and the attachment between people and dogs.
In traditional Chinese culture, the dog is a Zodiac sign reporting good news and bringing happiness.
The exhibition will last until March 30.
