However these two photographers, who only recognize themselves as special workers, think that their work can neither awaken nor persuade the masses. At most, they say, they will leave behind some evidence of people’s lives in the Yellow River basin and in the northeastern industrial area.

The year 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up. Forty years of changes cannot be expressed in words.

Zhu and Wang's photos document the most important historical changes in China and record the lives of the two "brothers" cohorts for the past several decades.
