This year's event attracted more than 1,700 applications from 123 countries, reaching the highest number since it was launched by the British Council in 2015.
The 12 finalists from fields including finance, arts and law attended the event.

The Social Impact Award went to Ni Huan, who founded Green Light Year, a nonprofit that educates travelers about the importance of environment protection. The Spirit of Youth Award recognizes contribution from an alumnus to UK-China collaboration in fields such as education, culture and science. The winner Zhao Jing has coproduced more than 20 documentaries that have been broadcast at home and abroad.
The four Chinese winners, together with winners from other countries, will participate at the Regional Alumni Award winners and then the Global Alumni Awards before the final winners are announced online in April.
