Cultural landscapes in focus
Editor's note: The China Eco-Culture Association selected 50 photos that showcase the best of China's countryside based on the theme of the China Pavilion at the Expo Milano 2015, "Land of Hope, Food for Life".
The association hopes to promote friendship between the two countries, as this year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of China-Italy diplomatic relations.
The photo exhibition, which is being held in the China Pavilion for a week starting on Monday, focuses on images of attractive villages, idyllic scenery, cultural landscapes and folk houses.
The images of landscapes, work and life, folk culture and ethnic customs in different villages in China aim to showcase the harmonious relationship between nature and humans, the virtues of ordinary Chinese people and the development of ecological culture in China.
The photos include wetlands in East China's Zhejiang province, a snowy view of a village in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality and a bamboo forest in Southwest China's Guizhou province.
