CHARLESTON, South Carolina - Singer Darius Rucker and comedian Bill Murray will be be captains of celebrity softball teams playing in South Carolina to raise money to fight childhood obesity.
A news conference will be held in Charleston on Tuesday to announce details of October's "Slim Down the South Celebrity Softball Challenge." The event is being held October 1 at Riley Park in Charleston.
Money raised will be used by a nonprofit to fight childhood obesity in Charleston and around United States.
Others expected to play include Jim Sonefeld of Hootie and the Blowfish as well as cast members of "Army Wives" and "The Biggest Loser."
