MOSCOW - At least five people, including two children, were killed and 18 others injured when a bus collided with a truck in Russia's Novosibirsk region early Sunday, the RIA Novosti news agency quoted local emergencies ministry as saying.

The bus, carrying 35 or 38 people, rammed into a heavy duty Kamaz truck at about 2 am local time (1900 GTM Saturday), said a spokesman of the ministry.

Ten people have been sent to hospital with six seriously injured. Police had started investigation into the accident.
