Iran plans to boost non-oil exports: president

TEHRAN - Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Thursday that the country plans to expand its non- oil exports to more than $45 billion in the current Iranian calendar year (ending in March 20, 2012), the local Satellite Press TV reported.

Ahmadinejad made the remark in a ceremony for the launch of a number of industrial projects in Iran's Eastern Azerbaijan province, said the report.

Iran's non-oil exports surpassed $30 billion in the past Iranian calendar year (ended March 20), the president was quoted as saying.

According to the report, Iran's non-oil exports mainly include gas condensates, mineral fuels, chemical products, plastics, fruits, nuts and fertilizers.
